APEC YOUTH SUMMIT 2013
Summary
The 2013 APEC Youth Summit (AYS) will bring together 42 of the most
promising young leaders from 21 APEC countries in a 6 day conference in
Indonesia in conjunction with the APEC Summit meeting. During the conference,
AYS Delegates will go through a policy-discussion process involving young
leaders, academic experts and senior officials present in APEC Summit
meetings. This process will result in 21 recommendations to APEC policymakers representing views of youth in all APEC member economies and will be
delivered to the APEC Secretary General and the leaders of APEC member
economies at the conclusion of the Conference. The Asia-Pacific Youth
Organisation (APYO) and Junior Chamber International (Indonesia, JCII) will
jointly run AYS 2013 with official support and approval from the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Indonesia.
